Lesson A & B: Moles & Molar Mass
Lesson C: Moles, Particles, & Volume
Lesson E & F: Stoichiometry Part 1 & 2
- Students will know overview of the mole
- Students will know about representative particles
- Students will know (Avogadro's Number) one mole equals 6.02 x 10^23 particles (atoms & molecules)
- Students will know how to determine the molar mass of a molecule from its chemical formula and a table of atomic masses and how to convert the mass of a molecular substance to moles, number of particles, or volume of a gas at standard temperature and pressure
Lesson C: Moles, Particles, & Volume
- Students will understand the mole-volume relationship
- Students will understand standard temperature & pressure
Lesson E & F: Stoichiometry Part 1 & 2
- Students can apply the Law of Conservation of Mass as it pertains to chemistry & stoichiometry
- Students will solve stoichiometric equations using moles, mass or volume
